33rd Annual Jim Smith Invitational
The meet is named after the legendary coach of Port Jefferson High School who's teams won State XC titles in 1974 & 1976. A traditionally early meet that provides a test to see where your depth lies in grades 9 thru 12. The meet is arranged so that each grade level is a separate race/division. Freshman run 1.5 miles. All other divisions run 5000m. Teams consist of 3 - 5 individuals. Scoring is based on the top three finishers; with fourth place used to break ties. Medals to the top three finishers in each race, shirts to top 25 in each race, trophies and medals to top three teams in each race.
