Foundation Photo Journal: Breakout!

Copake NY - Kicking off the 2012 Foundation season, MileSplit NY is on-site to promote the new partnership between the two entities.  One of the most unique functions of Foundation Running Camp, a camp that specializes in both XC and Track and Field, is that the power of choice is given to the campers.  Foundation creates what they call "Break Out Sessions,"  featuring a two periods a day where campers get to choose which sessions interest them.  Check out below for just some of the sessions Foundation has to offer.

 

Looking to kick in that core?  You can learn all the basics to tone those obliques.

 

 

Based on Project Adventure activities, the Foundation Leadership Academy provides team building excercises for your captains.

 

With it's large demographic of kids running cross country, the XC Theory classes usually get a big turnout.

 

For those athletes interested, Foundation offers a full service Sports Medicine Internship, where campers learn the tips of the trade.

 

Foundation also employs several world class sprinters, here demonstrating the importance of the Dorsi-flex.

 

 

Foundation also offers enrollment for Middle Schoolers, who have here chosen to try out the Swim Strength Session.

 

With Yoga on the rise in the world of running warmups, Foundation employs several certified instructors.

 

Pascal Dobert, Nike's own Steeple Chase coach of athletes like Shalane Flanagan and Evan Jager, took a visit to camp to teach some core of his own.

 

 

Benefitting from Foundation's new partnership with Nike, Nike Brand Marketing Manager for US running Bret Schoolmeester took to the stage to give the history of the brand,

 

Many of the sessions promote team bonding, as here teammates aid in warmup stretching.
