George Kelly knew that his team didn’t give their best showing. And that’s the scary part.
Christian Brothers Academy (N.J.) posted the fastest time in the country this season, winning the distance medley relay at the NJ Varsity
Classic in 10:11.0. And Kelley knew they could have run faster.
Kelly (3:06.3), Cody Barron (50.1), Dan Mykityshyn (1:57.4) and Mike Mazzaccaro (4:16.8) led the entire way after Kelly’s stellar leadoff. Their time is the fastest in the country this season.
“I knew I had to run fast and definitely bring my A-game for those guys,” Kelly said. “This is great. Mazz is a little banged up. But you know he’ll run faster. He can definitely go faster. We’re definitely psyched for Penn (Relays) and hopefully we can do something special there.”
