Queen Harrison grew up in Virginia but she’ll be expecting her own fan section, as big as anyone’s, at Madison Square Garden for the Millrose Games.

“Everyone will know where my family section is,” Harrison said.

The 2010 NCAA 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles champ, was born in upstate New York, in Loch Sheldrake, about two hours northwest the city in Sullivan County. She moved to Virginia in the sixth grade. Both her parents were born in New York City and have nine children together. Plus she’s expecting her a barrage of aunts, uncles and cousins. They’re all coming. They just don’t know it yet.

“As soon as I tell them to they will,” Harrison said via Skype at the first Track Writers’ luncheon of the season held at the National Track and Field Hall of Fame at the Armory.
