The SUNY-Delhi men and the Mohawk Valley women won the national junior college Division III cross country championships over the weekend. For the Delhi Broncos, it was their seventh title in a row.
There was also big news for New York City, as a little-known freshman from Bronx Community College, Ashley Armand, finished second in the women’s race. Armand, a graduate of Martin Van Buren High School in Queens, ran 20:09 over the 5k course, contested last Saturday, Nov. 13, at nearby Sunken Meadows State Park in Kings Park.
