BOONVILLE — Matt Cheney of Beaver River proved faster than the other 106 cross-country runners in the Varsity 2 boys race of the Adirondack Invitational on Saturday.

The Beavers also took the team victory, with a second-place finish from Logan Kempney and seventh-place showing from Joshua Purcell.
