This race, on paper, looks to be a lock for Leyla Bhusri. She set the Course Record a week ago, with the next best challenger in that race as well.
But conditions will be very different on Saturday, with the snow having moved in all week. Expect the times to not be as fast, and the mudders to be able to shine. Don't get us wrong, Bhusri is still the favorite, but things get closer when the footing gets worse. Freshman Chromczak has some quick marks this season, and McCormick has been looking to take on the upstate racers all season. Then there is Bercuvitz, the top returner from the year before. If she has timed her peaking correctly, she could come away with the win. This one should be fun.
