Girls Eastern State Championships - Individuals
Recap: It was quite a different race for the reigning champion. Coming off a case of mononucleosis and a more recent illness, Zariel Macchia has been making her way back to the strength that garnered her the clean sweep of titles the year before. She remains undefeated, though, after making up a two second defecit in the closing 200m of the race, coming home down Broadway. She managed to edge Katie Payne, who ran within two seconds of her time the year before, where she placed third overall.
