Loucks Returns As The Premier Invite Of Spring: Full Preview

Jumps

Boys

The sophomore sensation Rhoan Kaulder (McQuaid) will be trying hold off the multi-State Record Holder Neil Howard (Taconic Hills) in the Long Jump, both over 23-ft. Rocco Carpinello (West Islip) features here in the Long, but is the top seed in the Triple by a few inches, holding off Damani DeLoatch (Beacon).

Neil Howard (Taconic) is coming back for the Pole Vault, a double he completed at States last year, and High Jump is wider open, with only two athletes over 6-6.

Girls

NY State Champ Shania Young (Dewitt Clinton) is also the State Leader in the Long Jump, and is the only athlete over 19-ft in the Field. CT's Bloomfield is sending a pair at 18-9, but a big leap will be needed to topple the favorite. NY #3 Sophia Hines (Calhoun) takes on NY #6 Sarai Sealy (Ursuline) over 39-feet in the Triple Jump, proving a good matchup.

High Jump sees two athletes over 5-7, which is good for this early in the Season, and Pole Vault likewise has two athletes at or over 12-feet.
