Breakdown: Unlike the boys, the Top 3 girls in the State are all entered, and ready to go. This will give us our full face off between the top two atheltes are split between dueling National Meets the following week. At States, Emily Bush blitzed the field early, and put defending Zariel Macchia in chase mode for the first time in her Junior campaign. The element of surprise is no longer there, as Bush has now demonstrated what she is capable of. Does that change the strategy? And what about the addition of Sophia McInnes? In Class B, she won by 45-seconds, and had plenty more in the tank. She's the fastest of the trio on the track, but what happens on the hills of Bowdoin? We can't wait to find out. Rounding out the field is Lillie Bogdan, who is the defending champion at Regionals, having beat Bush head-to-head last year. It only adds to the depth of the field.
