We are just under four weeks out from this years annual Manhattan College Cross Country Invitational, and we already have top teams from at least 14 States plus DC. Ranked teams from as far West as California, and as far South as Florida will take on the best of the Tri-State, as they run the storied backhills of Van Cortlandt Park. The largest one-day meet in the Country, athletes will tackle the familiar territory of the Cowpath, the Bridge, and finish on Broadway.
The Invitational has routinely seen it's Eastern States Champions go on to win such accolades at both the Foot Locker National Championships, and the Nike Cross Nationals. Course Records are held by 2022 NCAA Cross Country Champion Katelyn Tuohy, and Edward Cheserek, the first freshman to ever win the NCAA Cross Country Title, and one of only two boys to ever break 12-minutes on the Van Cortlandt Park Course.
Sponsored by HOKA, the meet will be providing plenty of activities for its attendants as well. Friday night will include Clinic Talks from both Manhattan Head Coach Kerri Inman, and HOKA's Ben Rosario, Director of Northern Arizona Elite. Also included will be a Baldor Foods "A Taste of New York" Pasta Dinner, culminating with a Keynote Address from HOKA Runner, and NJ native, Katie Wasserman.
On Race Day, athletes will find HOKA merchandinsing tents, where athletes can try on the latest editions of HOKA apparel. For Coaches, Manhattan now offers a Coaches Race, so you too can get a taste of the historic course (register here).
Come be a part of history on October 14th, 2023, and run in the "Biggest and Best' invitational Cross Country has to offer.
