Mid-Season Poll: Male Track Athlete Of The Year Watchlist

Jaylin Santiago (Fordham Prep)

The State Leader in both the 300m and the 400m, he also holds NY #2 in the 200m. That sprinting range makes him a key member of the relay squad at Fordham Prep, with plenty of options on the Track.

Joseph Perazzo (Susan Wagner)

The most well-rounded distance runner in the State, he's NY #1 in the 3200m, and in the 1600m. Breaking out as an XC runner this year, Perazzo may be the first PSAL Runner to hold both those titles in nearly forty years.

Marcus Nahim (Iona Preparatory)

On the shorter side of sprinting, Nahim is tied for the lead in the 55m Dash, as well as anchoring home the top 4x200m relay squad in the State as well.

Collin Gilstrap (Monroe-Woodbury)

With limited racing after his XC Athlete of The Year Season, Gilstrap is already dropping All-Time marks in the 1000m. He's got a NY #6 in the 3200m to bolster his résumé, with the season only jump ramping back up.

Manuel Sepulveda (East Rochester)

This upstate jumper is leading the State in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump. Not only that, but he has a side business of throwing the Shot, putting up respectable numbers at 43-4.75.

Matthew Auble (Warsaw)

The best combined thrower in the State, as he's the State Leader in the Shot Put, and NY #3 in the Weight. He broke the 60-foot barrier earlier this year, and is looking to match that with the Weight.

Wesley Noble (Bishop Loughlin)

State Leader in both the 600m and the 4x400m, Noble made history with his 500m earlier this year, putting in the second fastest time ever in the event.
