The first track & field meet of the 2022-23 Ocean Breeze Elite High School series kicks-off with the 2022 Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival on Tuesday, December 27. Over 200 high schools & 3,000+ athletes are registered to compete from up-and-down the East Coast, ranging from New York to Virginia. The 2022 Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival will be the seventh installment of the Holiday Festival, a signature event dating back to 2015.
What to Watch For

Boys - The top-three seeded individuals include US # 11 Bashir Praileau (Albany Academy) 7.67, US #14 Trevon Foster (Pottsgrove) 7.69, & Frankie Gonzalez (Valley Stream) 7.71. Foster is coming off a first-place finish in the 55mH at the last week's Bishop Loughlin Games.
Girls - Taleea Buxton (West Catholic) has the current US #10 time of 8.29 in the girls 55mH.

Boys - Reigning Bishop Loughlin Games 55m champion Josiah Brown (Holy Trinity, 6.47) will be challenged by top-seeded Jadon Spain (James I. O'Neill, 6.41) & Bergen Catholic teammates Allan Hilton Clarke (6.45) & Logan Casey (6.46)

Girls - Paramus Catholic enters the Holiday Festival as the seeded favorites at 35.90 & looks to set the new US #1 time, which currently sits at 35.98.

Girls - Samantha Mynio (Washingtonville) is coming off a US # 6 time of 7:29.25 & faces off against West Babylon teammates of US #10 Farrah Wengler (7:37.88) & US #13 Camila Garcia (7:39.67)

Boys - The current US # 1 time sits at 48.49 & is up for grabs with Xavier Donaldson (Seton Hall Prep) & Xander Roberts-Bogin seeded at 47.70 & 48.40, respectively. Donaldson is committed to Princeton.
Girls - University of Virginia commit Brooke'Lyn Drakeford leads the field seeded at 56.74 followed by Alyssa Napier (Conrad School, 57.37), Chloe Smith (East Brunswick, 58.00) & Alexandria Scott (St. John Vianney, 58.65)
Two Mile
Boys - Top-seeded Paul Maguire (Don Bosco Prep, 9:22.00) looks to set the new US # 1 time (currently at 9:26.17) in the two-mile going against the field of 16 runners with Logan Betyeman (South Plainfield, 9:32.00) coming in as the second-best seeded runner.
Girls - The current US #1 time in the girls two-mile was set last weekend at the Bishop Loughlin Games by Sofia Day (Mainland Regional, 11:18.57) Reigning Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival & Nike Indoor Nationals Two-Mile Champion Zariel Macchia (William Floyd) looks to repeat as Holiday Festival two-mile champion coming in at 10:08.50

Boys - The boys SMR field has 16 teams registered faster than the current top US time of 3:46.50 with Seton Hall Prep seeded as the favorite at 3:33.50
Girls - Union (4:12.00), Allentown (4:20.00), & Bloomfield (4:20.00) enter as the top-three seeded schools in the SMR & look to set the new top US time, which is held by Windsor at 4:17.27
