3

Union Endicott

137.2

Lyman, Mayer, Mancini, Paugh, Mujic
Summary:  Reigning States A and top-ranked Corning should win pretty comfortably in S4-A, though getting last year's perfect 15 score will be much harder with a strong Ithaca team looking to break in for some top places and maybe send almost a full team to States. Ashton Bange took the S4-A title as a junior last year while senior star Jack Gregorski won the States-A title. Bange is a ways ahead of everyone in the field and should repeat.

Vestel

160.8

Cody, Smith, Catarella, Olson, Guai

Summary:  There are only three S4-B teams, and Vestal is the only one with speed ratings over 80. Reigning champ Vestal has a strong shot at a perfect 15 score this year and then will be looking not only to improve on last year's 5th place States title but as NY's highest rated B team, the Golden Bears have a shot at their first title in 67 years at the end of a three-year streak of Class A titles in 1955. Liam Cody and Tim Smith finished 1-2 last year and are likely to repeat that feat again.

1

Lansing

141.6

2

Owego

141.6

Stuart, Allen, N. Heath, O'Donnell, G. Heath, Georgia

3

Oneonta

135.0

Gardner, Forbes, Fletcher-Fost, Ziare, Kohl, Lema
Summary:   Lansing captured a narrow win over Owego in 2021, and this year the Bobcats are coming off a solid win at the IAC championship while both Owego and Oneonta had more relaxed runs against the bigger schools at STAC. Lansing has looked more consistent recently and came in well ahead of Owego at Marathon in mid October, so we'll go with the more balanced Bobcats to repeat, though Owego may have more depth. The first 5 finishers and 11 of the top 12 at S4-C last year were seniors, and Owego's Jace Stuart is the favorite this time after finishing 22nd last year. Freshman Trent Thibault leads Lansing.

3

Trumansburg

129.0

Howley, McCurdy, Arco, Lampman, Ziemba
Summary: Trumansburg beat out Delhi for the S4-D title last year but got only #5 runner Zayne Howley back this year to lead the team. Delhi got everyone back and should have the guys at the top and the depth to regain the title this year over a less deep SVE-Candor team. Delhi senior teammates Vincent VanMaaren and Alton Francisco finished 1st and 3rd last year and are the top two runners this year.
