Summary: The Rams are probably cursing as they read this as we jinxed them the last two years as the favorites, only to have Xavier in 2019 and Chaminade in 2020 with an unreal effort last year scoop up the wins. And its been 62 years since Fordham Prep won the CHSAA XC title. But maybe third time lucky, as the numbers really do look good for FP after a 9-point win over Xavier in the NYBQCHSAA race with Myles Hogan flirting with the 190 TR mark and a strong enough top 5 behind him. But it's been awhile since the NYBQCHSAA winner has gone on to claim the CHSAA title, and both Xavier and the young and improving NSCHSAA champ Saint Anthony's have better 1-5 compression and will be looking for help from other teams to put a few runners above FP's fifth spot.
It would be a huge surprise if any other runners are in sight when Myles Hogan crosses the finish line on Saturday.
