Connecticut Girls XC Class LL - L - MM Previews

Class MM's Top Teams

By the time you get to Class MM, the amount of data that is available from last year's meets gets much more scarce. EO Smith was the MM winner in 2019 but is now up in L. East Lyme was 2nd back in 2019 and could be better than projected here, but there's not a lot of info for the Vikings' XC exploits, though spring track looked pretty strong. RHAM and Woodstock Academy are two other teams that did well back in 2019, but the Raptors graduated their top four runners from last year and there is just not much XC data available on the Centaurs.

One team for which there is at least one impressive piece of info on is Guilford, which rolled to a big win in the SCC Division A race last year by placing five runners among the top thirteen finishers led by Julia Antony's 2nd place. All ten of the Grizzlies from that race are back, which could be a bit scary for the other MM teams. Avon finished 3rd in CCC division B among much bigger schools and has five of the top six back led by senior Marenn Ek. Bethel was 2nd in the SWC led by Ava Graham, and with their top five back, the Wildcats look ready to roll.
