Several Alumni Make Big Jumps In Their Collegiate Debut

While there isn't much competition going on within New York State, plenty of our Alumni have disseminated across the country, joining Collegiate Programs that have the luxury of having an Indoor Season. For many of the Freshman, it's the first time we've seen them compete since the Indoor State Meet in 2020, and plenty of development has occurred.

For the Girls, Monique Hardy (Webster Thomas) threw a new personal best in the Weight Throw, extending her personal best by three feet, now sitting at 69-6, currently NCAA #9. However, the biggest jump (figurative and literal) comes from sophomore Euphenie Andre (Dover), now competing for U of Missouri. Her Season debut jump of 43-3 is now the second longest ever by a New York Alumnus, trailing only the 45-7.75 by Marie Josee' Ebwea-Bile. The mark is NCAA #5.

On the Boys Side, its freshman Ryler Gould (Newburgh) with the fastest Alum mark in the 200m, opening with a 22.49. Gould missed his senior year due to the pandemic, only running club the Winter before, also missing Indoor Nationals due to cancelation. It would appear he is picking up where he left off, despite his main event of the 400H not occurring until we reach Outdoors.
