Top New Yorkers Find Competition At The VA Showcase

State Record Holder Emanuel Joseph has been off to a fast start already this season, and the Showcase has only grinded his way closer to that record from last year. After matching his Season Best in the prelims, Joseph dipped under 7.3 for the Hurdles for the first time in his senior year, taking second overall in the final. Next highest finisher was Michael Rodriguez-King, who has taken a big jump since the 2020 Season. He took home the bronze in the 800m Run, and is currently NY #1 in both the 600m and 1000m back home.

Continuing their long legacy in the event, Newburgh clocks 3:22 int he 4x400m to take second overall. Surely, they'll be chasing that 3:20 barrier that has been crucial over the years. Lastly, it was Ryan Bush to set the standard for the 3200m run, trying to carry over that cross country fitness.
