Boys Teams
Notes: In keeping with consistency, we used Newbury Park's last known performance for the rankings here, which happened to be their 5K time trial (192.99, 192.96, 186.40, 186.30, 185.34) rather than their run at the XC Town Champs, but it yielded pretty much the same results. Newbury Park is good, even better than they were a year before, where they scored the Individual Course Record at Glendoveer. Had their been a true National Competition in 2020, this team would be a real threat to set the All-Time lowest point total.
The most represented State in the rankings by far is Utah, which saw some major swings in the Post-Season. After losing to Skyridge at State, American Fork came out and took the win over Niwot at the RunningLane Champs. Likewise, after losing at States, Orem and Timpanogos came down to the Lubbock Christian National Invite, and reversed their fortunes with big marks. All in all, five teams from Utah break into the top tier, with Colorado holding their own as well. The Southwest Regional would have been brutal in 2020.
In the Northeast, it was both La Salle Academy and Coe-Brown who had been hampered by travel restrictions the most. Both were looking at entry into post-season meets, but with quarantines threatening their return, their top marks from States were used below.
