CHSAA "Buckley Rankings"

For years the CHSAA rankings have been handled by coach Buckley.  The week by week rankings are hosted on the CHSAA website.  Here is the latest installment.

PREVIOUS WEEKS

 The Buckley Rankings (week ending 10/4)

1. St.Anthony's...win their own event at Sunken Meadow over a quality Calhoun squad;
    Ken Walshak 2nd in a shade over 13:00; Tim & Kenny are building a powerhouse at
    all levels; this is getting scary; were unranked in Newsday last week, but are now rated
    #1 on L.I. (must be due to my pressure placed on Newsday's Gregg Sarra...the latter
    coached my son, Thomas, for the Paveco Storm Baseball Team for the last two years;
    Sarra's a great coach and a member of the Flag Football Hall of Fame)

2. Chaminade...nice win at Grout over Shen and Queensbury; this is not your father's
    Plainsmen; Slattery 4th

3. Monsignor Farrell...win Mayor's Cup (is Bloomberg running for his 6th term...whoever
    has the $$$ can change the rules) over "Sea" (63-96); Buckley as Lions 5th scorer
    (no relation); won JFK Somers Meet last week by beating Somers (not JFK Somers)
    my mistake, but no one knows what this means anyway

4. St.Joseph by the Sea..."Z" a strong 3rd in just over 13:00 (see Walshak); team should
    have been closer

5. St.John the Baptist...good 4th at Sunken Meadow; placed ahead in placing and team
    average vs. CHSAA teams

6. Regis...Coach Donodeo seen swimming across the Long Island Sound after this
    dreadful (why be critical) performance in the Small School division; is John training
    for the Kilamanjaro biathalon?; Buckley (not the Farrell athlete) was also seen doing
    the Australian crawl to Connecticut after his Sophomores performance (or was he
    swimming to Mohegan Sun)

7. St.Peter's...4th at Sunken Meadow, but a full 13 sec.per man behind the Cougars;
    never seem to be able to assemble a full squad

8. Kellenberg Memorial... older runners helped at at Open House; why didn't Chaminade
    runners help out at their Open House (they were in Schenectady); Firebirds will
    actually compete the next 2 weeks; should be nicknamed the Bears, as they spend
    much of the season in hibernation

9. Iona Prep...took week off to regroup; certainly were not scared off by teams ranked
    above them for the State qualifier spot

10. Fordham Prep...Rochester was too far away, even for the Jesuits; last seen
     converting the Iroquois

11. Archbishop Molloy...6th at Sunken Meadow; representative

12. Holy Trinity...Coach Muller is a good coach and a good guy
