It's been a rapid rise for Warwick 7th Grader Rachel Venter. A week after clearing a State Record 10-3 in the Pole Vault as a seventh grader, she has quickly twice increased that mark in the proceeding week.
At the Vault Factory Invite on August 1st in Basking Ridge, NJ, Venter added an inch onto her previous Personal Best, clearing 10-4 to increase her record. Staying in New Jersey for the week, Venter returned to action at the Vertical Adventures Beach Vault, annually held on the sands of Atlantic City. There, Venter took another big mark down, clearing 10-6 in the Women's Open Division, one day after hitting 9-6 in the Middle School division. The new mark, on a sanctioned runway, puts her Venter now half a foot over the previous State Record.
