Warm Weather Awaited A Fast Federation Championship - Recap

Boys Individual Race

Breakdown

With some key no-shows on the starting line, the individual race played out simpler than expected.  Sam Lawler made a move at the 1.5 mile mark, that field could not respond too.  He powered away from the field in the second half, increasing his lead along the way.  He finished in 15:57.20, placing 77th on the All-Time List at Bowdoin.  Lawler was 20-seconds ahead of Ryan Allison at the State Meet, and finished with that same margin here.  Allison ran a strong race, passing Gitch Hayes, who had bested Allison in Plattsburgh.

Most notable in the Individual Race, was that the Top 4 finishers all came from Non-Class A Schools. That was the first time for that to happen, and only the 5th time a Non-Class A Individual won the title.
