Breaking Down The Best Manhattan Invite Ever - Full Recap

Girls Easterns - Individuals

Recap: This Individual Effort lived up to the hype placed upon it once the final entries came out.  While Tuohy may not have matched her Record from 2017, she still ran the second fastest time ever run at VCP, bettered only by her sophomore self, as well as the Senior Course Record.  Not only that, she led the deepest race in meet history.  Claire Walters takes second, in what would have been a 7-second Course Record had Tuohy not run here in 2017.  Back one spot was Brooke Rauber, who also bettered the Pre-Tuohy Course Record, and set the Junior Course Record.  Never before had more than one girl broken 14-mins on a single day at VCP, only six having done so in History.  Three did on Saturday, with Charlotte Bednar within meters of doing so herself, placing 8th All-Time at VCP.  Most years, Lea Hatcher's mark would have won the race, but here, she placed 5th.  A loaded race all around.
