Outlook:Lauryn Heskin appears ready to keep on crushing in her junior year with a high ceiling after wins last year in the NY Mayor's Cup and AIS championship. After a few key losses to graduation, the question for the Lions is whether there is enough support in the wings for a team AIS championship. Sophomore Dominga Rivera showed strong promise with a 14th place finish last year, and with a little more development at the back, the Lions could be reigning supreme in the AIS.
Outlook:The Gators had some promising results early last year in non-speed-rated AAIS meets, though it was a decidedly mixed bag for them in the AIS championship. Still, everybody should be returning from last year's squad that featured Allegra DeCherrie and Isobel Porteous in the top 12 of the championship, and if the rest of a young squad can get up close to their season's best on Marathon Sunday, the Chapin could be running off with the title.

Outlook:The Blue Devils captured their second AIS title in three years but then lost two key members with the graduation of AIS 5th place finisher Katherine Kenny and 13th place Shania Smith. Poly still has a veteran contingent behind Jenna and Jordan Denaver and Alice Cutter, so they are in a strong position to bag another title if they can fill out the back of the lineup. Seniors dominate the roster here though, so time is of the essence for another championship run and for the same big development boom that occurred in 2016.

Outlook: Though the Cardinals lost longtime graduated standout Fiona Calcagnini (who was unable to run in the AIS championship), they have the top 5 back from last year's meet. The young CSH squad has a solid top trio of Amelia Neumann, Taylor Harris, and Mia Conte returning from top 30 places in the AIS, and with a little development from sophomore Sophia Springer and the rest of the crew, the Cardinals could be earning their second AIS title in three years.

Outlook: TheHornets lost 2016 AIS champ and international triathlete Olivia Curran from last year's 4th place squad along four form last year's top 5. A big rebuilding job is needed behind sophomore standout Eve Spencer if Hackley looks to return to the championship years of 2013-2015
