#4 - National Record - 3k
There is a lot to unpack here. Yes, Katelyn Tuohy (North Rockland) won the race here by almost 30-seconds, and broke the meet record by 15-seconds, running 9:15.35. But, look what was happening behind her. In all, ten girls broke 10mins in the field, with a 9:48.40 getting left off the podium. Any other year, and that would be capable of winning the entire meet. We believe this race set the National Record for the deepest 3000m race in Indoor Track History. And the best part? All ten of these girls will return next year, with only one senior in the Top 17 finishers in the race.
Note: The 2018 NBIN 2-Mile had 11 girls with 3000m FAT splits under 10mins, but was not true 3k.
