Boys Mile

Why: Anytime you can pit a NXN-Finalist against a Foot Locker Finalist in a distance race on the track, you're going to come up with something fast. Chase Rivera (Bolles, FL) comes in with a 4:19.9 personal best, but hasn't hit the track since heading to Oregon in December. Will he have more in the tank? Rusty Kujdych (Neshaminy, PA) is known more for his longer efforts that brought him to San Diego, but he still carries a best of 4:19.28 in the mile.
The Top Seed is actually Evan Addison (LaSalle College, PA), who ran 4:17.40 at the end of Spring last year. Likewise, NYC will be sending an athlete who may not have qualified for the post season in XC, but has a superior Mile best. Ermiyas Harper (Midwood) carries his 4:18 over 1600m into the race. Rounding out the field of sub-4:20 guys is Derek Gess (Haddonfield, NJ), coming in right at 4:19.17.
