Girls Field
Horizontal Jumps
It would seem that eight is the magic number here, as we have two athletes over 18-feet in the Long Jump, highlighted by Gianna Gomez (Marlboro, NJ) and Kayla Woods (Tatnall, DE), and then two more athletes over 38-feet in the Triple Jump, demonstrated by Arianna McLeod (Longwood) and Zia Barr (Teaneck, NJ).
Vertical Jumps
It'll be a race to 12-0 for Kristin Lubeski (Monroe-Woodbury) in the Pole Vault, while the 5-6 bar is the goal for Kate Willshaw (Easton Area, PA).
Throws
New York is looking to expand its roster of 40-foot throwers, and
Ilenn Soto (New Rochelle) is coming in at 38-2.25 to try and join the
party. She'll need to do so to compete with Keyana Brooks (Hopewell
Valley, NJ), who has hit 40-5 already. The weight throw will be
dominated by NY though, as Mt. Vernon puts two at 45-feet with Jannah
Sharpe and Ludith Campos, only separated by Julianna Tobin (Minisink
Valley).
