Breakdown: Sweet Home was the U.S. No. 2 from north of Virginia last spring in the 4x100m, and they brought back their entire lineup into 2018. After running 41.36 to win the spring state title, they put themselves in the contender slots at the national level this year. They ran to a full-second win last week on a flat track in 1:32.48 for a new meet record, and come into the meet ready to go.
However, if the Buffalo team wants to be known at the national level, they need some significant wins. Consider DeMatha Catholic in this competition, as they routinely put out some of the best relays in the country. DeMatha has to be considered a favorite based on their history, but the contender in Sweet Home should be up to the challenge.
