Salem senior Shayla Jemmott wins a second national title for Virginia from NSIC by winning the triple jump with a leap of 38-8.75. Three Virginians earned All-American status on Sunday in the running events with three fourth place finishes between them. Christo Landry of Thomas Jefferson improved his state best time in the 1600 meter run by finishing fourth in the full mile at NSIC with a time of 4:14.27. Lakeland senior Andrea Wheeler was the lone sprinter to earn All-American honors at NSIC as she took fourth in the 60 meter hurdle finals with a 8.73 clocking. Florida State bound Kirsten Hagen of Christiansburg dipped under 11 minutes for the first time in the two mile with her 10:57.42 for fourth place honors. Two pole vaulters notched top six finishes as James Robinson senior Scott Decker finished fifth (14-11.75) in the boys' pole vault, while Western Albemarle sophomore Ashley Early garnered a fifth place (11-7.25) in the girls' competition.
