Corning Clinches Course Record Sweep - McDaniel Baxter Pre-State Recap

Boys Race 3 Individual

Notes: Much like we saw in the girls competition, it was the final mile that decided the champion.  Ian Russ (East Aurora) noticed this on the course warmup, and waited until that final mile to make his move.  When he struck, he did so with intensity, separating the junior from the rest of the field.  Powering away, he finished with one of the top times on the day, almost twenty seconds ahead of the next finisher.

Boys Race 3 Team

Notes: East Aurora is another team that continues to be strong in both genders, their boys taking a team win to match their girls performance.  Taking home the top individual, East Aurora now only had to score four runners to everyone else's five.  Despite their compression being the highest of the Top 3 teams, they managed to get the job done over a strong Manhasset challenge.
