The Trailer: The Class B battle kicked off last Saturday at the Wayne meet, and it's clear that the war at the top will be just crazy all year. There may well be a fairly high turnover in a race with no clear favorite but many teams that could go for a breakaway move at some point. We'll stick with Burnt Hills as the leader after a good showing at Guilderland, and Somers with the top speed rating moves into the 2nd spot ahead of the Section 5 trio of Brockport, Brighton, and reigning champ Pittsford Mendon, who will be slugging it out all year. East Aurora already has a "good as new" rebuilding look to it, and there are a number of other teams that could leap into the fray. The Section 5 teams will be waiting for the McQuaid meet the weekend after next, but Somers and East Aurora will see action in the Pre-States meet this weekend, though not in the same race.
