XC Journal 2016: Noah (Carey) and Noah (Tindale) of Guilderland: Week 2

This fall, we'll be viewing the New York Cross Country Season through the eyes of its' competitors.  We've asked one girl and one boys to blog about their season.  Through the triumphs and tribulations of training, racing, and everything in between, you'll be able to read what it's like to run in the Empire State.

For the boys, Noah Carey, a senior at Guilderland High School, will be blogging for us.  Noah is the States Top Returner at the New York State Meet, looking to improve on last year's performance.  He races in super competitive Subrurban Council, and will be one of the top athletes across any classification in the Albany.  Noah Carey will be periodically joined his season by sophomore teammate Noah Tindale, and the two comprise what they call, the "@NoahandNoahShow"

Week 2: Starting to get back into the swing of things after my injury. Got a solid track workout in. We did 4x1mile repeats at a pretty solid pace. Also did a time trial with the team. Me and Tindale paced some top guys on our home course. Also had our first dual meet of the year. I just realized it was my last first meet. *sniffsniff* It was pretty hot out. Me and Tindale went 1-2 and ran low 16 minutes at SPAC. Nothing crazy just needed the win. We lost to Shen and Toga and beat Columbia. Not how we wanted to start the season but we'll get into the swing of things. We have our home invy this weekend so we are looking forward to that. (The last home invy for me) *tear rolls down cheek* Sorry for getting all emotional. Anyway That should be a good one. Be sure to check back next week to see how it went!
