Section | Top Teams | Notes |
1 | Haldane, Keio, Alexander Hamilton | Haldane loses its top guy but will likely have little to contend with in S1-D |
2 | Maple Hill, Mayfield,, Greenwich, Hadley-Luzerne, Berln | Maple Hill.is the reigning S2-D champ and has a littlemore back than the rest of the field. |
3 | Sauquoit Valley, Tully, Beaver River, Oriskany, South Lewis | Sauquoit
Valley has five of the varsity back from last year's S3-D champs, and
that will make them the favorite for the States title. |
4 | Elmira-Notre Dame, Trumansburg, Delhi, Marathon | Reigning
S4-D Elmira ND has basically everyone back and Trumansburg is pretty
much the same, so this should be a really nice contest. |
5 | Oakfield-Alabama, Honeoye Central, East Rochester | Reigning
5-D champ Addison is gone to Class C, and Oakfield-Alabama appears to
have the most back, but this is very much a developing situation |
6 | Barker, Maple Grove, Clymer-Sherman-Panama, Randolph, Silver Creek | The
losses of Maple Grove's top 2 puts Barker a smidgen ahead, but this
should be a great sectional battle between a bunch of teams. |
7 | Lake Placid, EMKW | Reigning
States champ Lake Placid has some key losses that will set them back
in the state rankings, but S7-D should still be very safe. |
8 | East Rockaway | S8-D will likely have no representation once again. |
9 | SS Seward, Livingston Manor, Webutuck, Tuxedo | Seward is the school that is the best bet to fill out a full team here. |
10 | Tupper Lake, Norwood-Norfolk, Brushton-Moira, | Tupper Lake has everyone back, so that will make them the favorite unless Norwood-Norfolk has some key recruits. |
11 | Shelter Island, Pierson, Southold | S11-D champ Shelter Island should win, though it needs to pull in some recruits. |
