State of the Action: Senior Amanda Crawford grabs her first state title after taking runner up last spring. Crawford was the secodn seed heading into the final, but attacked the back turn to pull away from a strong field. Placing runner up was Jenna Crean, who set an 8th grade State Record on the track last year at this event. She improves to a very strong 39.20, which could challenge the state frosh record if running on a banked track. Most notable was that there were 3 freshman to make the finals in the 300m dash, meaning this race will stay competitive for years to come. | |||||
