State of the Action: The surprise sensation of 2015 had come back her senior season, and led the state from the opening weekend. As with the Long Jump, it was the first attempt from Alexis Daniels' that sealed the deal, two feet higher than the PR's of anyone in the field. Her first throw of the finals, she again put a mark out there surpassing the field, before unloading hard in her final two throws, ultimately resulting in fouls. Monae Cooper and Jillian Shippee battled it out for second, before Cooper got over 44-ft, to find a safe buffer. | |||||
