State of the Action: Looking at the numbers, Fayetteville-Manlius looks to be the clear favorite.  Even if one of their Top 5 falters, they have a lead over the field to recover.  That may not be the case at Nationals, but getting there is half the battle.

And what a battle it will be.  Not only for one of the top two slots, but for the two slots behind it.  The other regionals have shown that New York teams might be in the conversation for possibly getting two At-Larges, depending how they run.  North Rockland looks strong to get the second Auto-Slot, after wins at Feds, and a runner up at States.  That leaves Saratoga, Shenendehowa, and Shoreham all in the fight for the next finishes.  Shen and Toga have both been before, with Saratoga having the most experience.  But Shoreham has the motivation of achieving something their school never has, and that can weigh heavily going into the race.  Get ready for it to come down to every last point.
