State of the Action:  It's time for the rematch.  Kelsey Chmiel remains undefeated in 2016, but will face off against once again with Jessica Lawson.  Lawson is the 2015 Fed Champion, who had an off-day at States.  She knows the course, and knows the competition.  Chmiel still comes in with the favorite slot, but don't be surprised if Lawson is right there.  Katelyn Tuohy is another athlete right in the mix, shown by her runner-up slot at Feds.  The unknown factor here is Katherine Lee, who gets her first crack at a real race up front for the first time this season.  Lee too has been undefeated this year, although only racing a letter race at Manhattan, and Class B race at States.  Rounding out the Top Picks is Claire Walters, who will finally get to compete on a course more geared towards strength over speed.  How will that come into play?

The race behind them is where it gets interesting.  Team titles, and At-Larges come well into play.  It's almost certain New York will get one At-Large, and possibly two.  That very well means you could place 8th-10th in the race, and still get to go.  Run through the line, and get your ticket to Portland!
