State of the Action:

Saint Anthony's is on the cusp of history.  Before winning the Federation meet last year, they hadn't done so since 1992.  And guess what?  That was their second in a row.  After winning in 1991 and 1992, Saint Anthony's looks like they could make it another two-peat in 2015.

It's no surprise that the CHSAA see's two teams at the Top of the Merge.  Simply, VCP is a much easier course than Monroe-Woodbury.  While Speed Ratings act as a slight equalizer, it still doesn't account for certain outliers like the exhaustion factor.  We have a feeling this may be closer than predicted.

Corning will see itself as the strongest contender to the crown.  Not only did they break through as the third place team in the States Merge, they had a healthy margin of victory over Xavier in the McQuaid merge.  With how close Xavier was to Saint Anthony's at Intersectionals, that may actually move Corning to that favorite position.  Maine-Endwell also hails from Section 4, and could have an impact here.  The bigger field favors the front runners, and with Dan Schaffer up front, it definitely helps.

Speaking of frontrunners, as with the girls, Saratoga has a major frontrunner to lead the field.  The young team saw their share of struggles at States, but could have a big rebound at Feds.
