MEET PREVIEW
Curtis and Stuyvesant boys are the only teams to win in the past five years, but look for McKee/Staten Island Tech, Midwood, and Tottenville to challenge them for the title.
In the girls’ championship, two-time defending champion Tottenville returns its top seven runners and is the team to beat. But the Pirates were outrun by Curtis at the Staten Island championships. Health Professions, the Manhattan champ, and Cardozo, with the PSAL’s top freshman (Claudia Francis) and top senior (Alison Lee) could challenge for the title. MSIT (PSAL Sophomore champions) and Bronx Science (Bronx champs) can’t be overlooked.
