State of the Action: Brenessa Thompson has been looking for two things since the season has started: A clean start, and sub-7secs. Only one would come the first weekend after the new year, but it was the one which mattered most. After losing the national lead to Kate Hall of Maine, who ran 6.99 the day before, Thompson smashed the fast field, to lower her own personal best, reclaiming the national lead, and grabbing a school record, that stands as NY #7 All-Time. The next prize would have to be the PSAL record of 6.84, held by the talented Whitney Fountain. |
