On the girls' side, it came down to a race between 3 girls who pulled away from the rest. Shannon Lavender proved to have more left in the tank down the stretch, narrowly beating out Hunter Gowans of Mexico.

In all of the "distance" events (600-3200) in Section IV, Evan Degraw is sole athlete returning from the 2014 state meet. He confidently asserted his dominance in the 600m. He calmly sat in the back of the pack through 400m, then took off in the final lap to pull away and win with a big gap.
