It may seem like a weasel act not to choose only one team for the top of the B rankings, but both teams have solid credentials to be #1 and have identical TRs. Cornwall flew out to the West Coast to battle among the CA teams in the Stanford Invite, and Burnt Hills won the Showcase McQuaid-AA race for the B teams. Both feats have a lot to like about them. Pittsford Mendon and Sweet Home also did nicely in the AA race to rank in the top 7. Elsewhere, Pearl River led a group of teams gone wild to Six Adventures as it won the Wild Safari D race to move up to the #3 spot, while Garden City and John Jay-Cross River took the B and C races. Shoreham-Wading River made a strong move by beating a lot of bigger teams at the Suffolk Coaches meet. Queensbury finished 2nd behind Saratoga at the meet it hosts to make a big leap in its speed ratings. |

A lively discussion here, as Burnt Hills kept close to the leaders in the McQuaid merge. They very well may be the top team in Class B, and managed to topple Class A Corning on a tie-breaker, a week after Corning won the Pre-State Invite, in the varsity McQuaid Merge. |
