New Leaders Come From Outside Loughlin

New York - While the Bishop Loughlin Games may have been the biggest meet this weekend, some of the Empire State's biggest stars preferred to stay home.  That didn't mean the stars didn't shine, as several state and national leading marks were set far away from the city.  We've listed some of the highlights below.  Photos submitted by B. New State Leaders

Todd Uckermark (Warwick) hit a school record 16-2 at West Point over the weekend.

Rubin Owens, LeRoy, known for his High Jump prowess, jumped to the lead of the Triple Jump, with his US #1 mark of 48-10.5

Jesse Dhaliwall of Grand Island jumped into 4th on the NYS All-Time List, with her 47-7 in the shot

McKayla Brooks of Frontier nabbed two US #1's in the horizontal jumps, with a 19-2 in the long, and 39-2 in the Triple.

Mickey Burke (Rush-Henrietta), maintained his Foot Locker speed to grab 9:27.31 in the 3200m run.

 

Lauren Hudson of Lancaster matched Shayla Broughton's High Jump mark of 5-6.

 

Mike Egotanda of Vestal went US #5 at SUNY Cortland, leading NY in 22-10.5

Several of Rochester's Top Alumni came back to watch their former teammates run.  Can you name any of the state champions?
