Wappingers Falls, NY - Year over year, there can be some distant entries into the Section 1 Coaches and Officials Invite. That is because it serves as the final attempt for those outside Section 1 to get a try at the course of some of the biggest post-season meets around. We were on site to check out all the action, and here is what we saw.

Brian Cook is back to setting records after a close finish at Manhattan. Cook would go 15:54.72 to win, setting the Rockland County Course Record. Even more important, that time would have won him the Federation Title last year, as well as placing him 4th at the Nike Cross Nationals Regional Qualifier last year. A good sign of things to come.
