From NSAF Board member Jim Spier:
I have the sad duty to report the passing of our dear friend, Cedric Walker.  All I really know at this point is that he suffered a massive heart attack and did not recover.  It happened yesterday.  As I find out more details I will pass them on.

Cedric was special in so many ways.   He was passionate about track and field, passionate about our Foundation, passionate about his family and friends.  He was a great coach and mentor.  He knew the sport intimately and everyone in it.  He also was friendly, intelligent and had a great sense of humor.  There will never be another one like him.  He will be sorely missed.  Our lives will not be the same without him.

May he rest in peace.

Jim Spier
