Episcopal junior Allante Keels, the current state leader in the 500 meter dash, ventured up to New York this weekend for the Eastern States Championships held at the New York Armory to jump up to his first 800 meter race indoors this season. Keels dropped a personal best and state best time of 1:56.78 to finish fourth in the race. Expect to see Keels in more 800 meter races this spring as he could be one of Virginia's very best in the event.
