Goodbye State Record. Just an hour after taking the 100m in 10.64 at the Westchester County Champs, senior Rai Benjamin of Mount Vernon took home the State Record in the 400m Hurdles. Below, the picture of former State Record holder, Paul Lankford, set in 1977.
Schenectady, NY - You win some, you lose some. Sam Affolder's brother, Noah, grabbed a State Class Record just the night before his own State Record would be lost. That's because there is another Sophomore-8th Grade Duo in New York looking to make waves. Guilderland had an equally impressive duo of Noah Carey / Noah Tindale in Cross Country, and both are starting to break out this Spring Season.
The annual last invitational of the season, is short but sweet. With rigorous entry standards, small fields, and tough competition, we're sure to see some top 5 State Performances going down. We'll be on the scene with full video/photo coverage, so sit back, relax, and soak it all in.

Oneida, NY - The Affolder Brothers have sure made an impact to the New York running scene. After a strong XC outing, 8th Grade Sam has taken down the class State Record in the 800m already, and made several threats on the 1600m record as well.
Now, 10th Grade brother, Noah, has something to talk about at the dinner table as well. After a sit-and-kick race, Noah sprints the final straightaway to break John Trautmann's sophomore state record in the 2-Mile, with a converted 9:07.02 mark (9:03.89 unconverted). He finished just milliseconds ahead of FM's Bryce Millar to win the race.
Bria Matthews of Forest Park, Ga. leads the nation with a U.S. No. 7 All-Time jump of 43 feet, five and one half inches, while Ja'Mari Ward of Cahokia, Il. leads the boys with a 51-11 season-best jump.
