– Junior Ieva Steponkute and senior Kwaku Boah each recorded first place finishes in the respective events at the Columbia Last Chance Meet at The Armory in New York City. Staponkute topped all competitors in the triple jump, while Boah took the weight throw title. 

In the women's triple jump, Steponkute recorded a personal best leap of 12.84m. Boah's heave of 19.42m in the men's weight throw took the crown.

The 60-meter hurdles featured four Orange men who finished in the top-10 of the event. Junior Matt Callanan and sophomore Amadou Gueye were SU's top finishers, crossing the finished line together in second place with a time of 8.09. Senior Frank Taylor took sixth with a time of 8.41, while freshman Donald Pollitt finished ninth at 8.58.

Syracuse's men and women found success the 3000-meter run as seven Orange women and four men finished in the top-14. Junior Lauren Penney's time of 9:16.26 topped the women's finishers and took fourth overall. Claiming the ninth through 14th spots were Cassie White (9:49:14), Carly Hamond (9:55.76), Lauren Kersjes (9:57.96), Julie Jablonski (10:04.62) Erin Cawley (10:06.20) and Brenna Symoniak (10:07.83). On the men's side, junior Corey Robinson was SU's top finisher in fifth with a time of 8:14.84. Sophomore Robert Molke took seventh with a time of 8:17.43. Rounding out SU's runners were junior Roman Acosta and sophomore Sean Keefe. Molke, Acosta and Keefe each recorded personal-best times.

In the women's one-mile run, junior Heather Stephens took 11th with a time of 4:50.01. Senior Liz McCarter ran a personal-best time of 4:51.50 and finished 13th overall. In the men's mile, sophomores Joseph Bubniak (4:11.99) and Andrew Nelson (4:12.66) crossed the finish line in 18th and 21st, respectively. Nelson's time was a personal best.

Freshman Michelle Riley ran her way to a 12th-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.14. Fellow rookie Amber Passalagua took second in the long jump with a leap of 5.20m. Syracuse place two men in the top four of the men's long jump. Sophomore Franklin Taylor (6.87m) leaped his way into third place, while senior Victor Nwosu (6.78m) took fourth.
