Boys Sprints
Like the girls in the 100m finals, the guys switched around from a nice tailwind in prelims to a headwind for the decider. In a reverse of last year when he led in prelims but finished 6th, Colin Brown was in lane 3 after only the 5th best time in prelims. Brown had the best start of the guys in the middle and hung on to take the gold over Noble Gongon. Malcolm Beckford was the big favorite in the 200m and he won comfortably, though Jonathan York kept it close for a while. Andrew O'Donnell similarly was a huge favorite and the defending king in the 400m, and he broke 48.0 to take the 400m by more than half a second.
