Boys Sprints and Hurdles

55m

Speed is of the essence here as CT #1 and Class S winner Malcolm Beckford is only seeded 5th though he has the best time on the season at 6.43. Class M winner and top seed Ralphael Hawkins along with that race's runner-up Colin Brown and the LL 1-2 duellists Tristan Burke and Dangelo Aristilde should all be lining up for Finals. SMSA's Keith Berrouet won in 2020, and the meet record is 6.23 by Sheldon Simpson of East Hartford in 2000.

300m

Again in the 300m, top seed and Class L winner Ralphael Hawkins will be facing off against CT #1 and Class S winner Malcolm Beckford, who pounded out a 34.98 back in mid December at the Hillhouse Invite. Class M champ Michael Johnson and LL winner Gianluca Bianchi have also looked very good recently, so this will certainly be a race to watch. Wilbur Cross's Caleb Owen won in 2020, and the MR was set by Weaver's Daundre Barnaby in 2010 at 34.10.

  1 Ralphael Hawkins 12 Hillhouse 35.67

600m

This could be the most difficult race to have a conjecture on. CT #1 Tobias Ruffo was the Class LL champ and is CT #1, but he has an anchor leg to run beforehand for Hall's top-seeded 4x800m team. 2nd and 3rd seeded Jeremy Rivera and Basit Iddriss battled to the end in Class M with Jack Mattingly a step or two behind, S winner William Dalles breezed in Class S, and 10th seeded Leoangel Lopez squeezed by Connor Sterling in Class L. Throw in the other Hall guys, Sean McDaniel and Gabriel Sisk, and Staples' Bruno Guiduli, and you have a lot of guys who have run pretty similar times in the 600m this year. Whoever wants it most. Ryan Farrell of Cheshire won it in 2020, and Daundre Barnaby of Weaver got his double in 2009 with a 1:20.29 for the MR.

  1 William Dalles 12 Coginchaug 1:25.34

55 Hurdles

Michael Johnson has been tearing things up recently and sits on the lead as the Class M champ.
